Space Island Group Announces an Agreement with SpaceHab to Design Interiors of Space Station

SPACE ISLAND GROUP ANNOUNCES AN AGREEMENT WITH SPACEHAB TO DESIGN LIVING AND WORKING INTERIORS FOR COMMERCIAL MICRO-GRAVITY RESEARCH AND MANUFACTURING SPACE STATIONS
West Covina, CA -- Space Island Group, leading developer of the world's first commercial space stations and space transportation systems, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with SPACEHAB Inc. (NSDAQ/NMS: SPAB), www.spacehab.com to develop a preliminary design study for the habitation, research and manufacturing areas onboard their micro-gravity space stations.
SPACEHAB brings to the Space Island Project almost 20 years of experience in developing space architecture and infrastructure. SPACEHAB has vast experience in developing micro-gravity scientific laboratories and other habitation areas for space vessels and space destinations. With more then $100 million in annual revenues, SPACEHAB Inc. is a leading provider of commercial space services. The company develops, owns, and operates habitat and laboratory modules and cargo carriers aboard NASA’s Space Shuttles. Johnson Engineering subsidiary supports astronaut training and space station configuration management at Johnson Space Center in Houston and builds space-flight trainers and mockups.
